When you are angry…
- Vent your anger
- However, if you dish it out, you have to take it too. Be ready to accept the consequences of your actions
- Never say, “Don’t be upset” to someone who is angry
- Ventilate your ire with a trusted friend or write it in a letter, rather than confronting the irritant right away.
- Get a physical outlet for aggression. Take up sports or go have a workout.

January 19th, 2009Random ThoughtsWhat is a mantra? According to Random House Webster’s Electronic Dictionary and Thesaurus, a mantra is (1) A sacred word or formula repeated as an incantation; or (2) Any often repeated word, formula or stock phrase.
My mantras are short phrases that I repeat to myself every so often to remind me to act in ways that will bring me closer to the life I want to have. These help me stay focused, positive, and energetic, and keep me from falling into self-defeating patterns.
